Job Description

Management of Library Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the Library, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to established policies and procedures.
Collection Development: Develop, review, and implement acquisition and collection policies to ensure the Library’s resources are relevant and meet user needs.
Support Library Operations: Assist the Librarian in managing day-to-day library operations, including circulation services and inter-library loans.
Collection Maintenance: Ensure returned materials are shelved within one working day and assist in managing stock-take activities.
User Assistance: Provide support to users in accessing library resources, including conducting orientation sessions and information literacy training.
Library Management System (LMS): Manage the Library Management System, ensuring accurate data entry and monitoring of library items.
Administrative Duties: Perform various administrative tasks, including preparing reports on library usage and assisting with budget management.
Collaboration: Liaise with relevant divisions on facilities management, IT, and security matters to ensure smooth library operations.

Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using Library Management Systems (LMS) and other relevant technologies.
Ability to develop and implement library policies and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
