Responsibilities:
· Leads and develops a purchasing team for material purchase to support various projects and production.
· Developing purchasing strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
· Directs activities of daily operations to procure materials and services at the best possible cost for manufacturing operations.
· Partners key suppliers to achieve savings and leverage economies of scale in the sourcing of materials and services.
· Effective supplier and inventory management to drive down the total cost of production.
· Assess current spend and reduce costs through supplier negotiations or process improvements or alternative materials. Controlling budget and promoting a culture of long-term savings on purchasing costs.
· Perform analysis of supplier spend data and process metrics to identify opportunities for improvements.
· Collaborate with Logistics to support the receipt and delivery of raw materials efficiently.
. Conduct monthly meetings providing updates to internal customers on key activities and identify areas of material and service improvement.

. A thorough understanding of Material Requirement Planning, purchasing tools and techniques.
. Excellent people skills with a track record in negotiations.

. Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
. experiences in furniture/interior fit outs/construction would be an advantage.
